We are so excited to announce that we will begin distributing cans of our two most popular beers. Soon you will be able to purchase Snowboarder Porter and Syringa Pale Ale in the tasting room and at local stores throughout Idaho starting January 20th. Owner Collin Rudeen is excited for this big next step for the brewery;
“Until now, if you were drinking a Boise Brewing beer, you were most likely at a bar or restaurant. With cans, you can have one of our beers in your living room or on the river. We’re excited about what better accessibility will do for our future growth.”
Boise Brewing’s head brewer, Lance Chavez spoke more about how they selected the Syringa Pale Ale & Snowboarder Porter as the first two beers to put in cans;
“The Syringa Pale Ale was an immediate hit as our first Community Supported Beer offering of 2016. It came back as a summer seasonal and then easily earned it’s way into our year-round line-up. Syringa Pale Ale was a natural choice for one of our first offering in cans being hoppy enough to satisfy the IPA crowd while remaining appealing to a broader craft beer consumer. Our Snowboarder Porter, despite the name, is a year-round, very approachable malt-focused brew. Those who enjoy coffee and chocolate flavors will enjoy this beer. We chose the porter because it’s our second most popular beer behind our IPA. I am very excited to see my creations being offered in cans to the Idaho craft beer scene.”
Boise Brewing’s sales manager, Zack Rowland has been an integral part in getting these cans on shelves. He looks forward to getting cans onto shelves and throughout Idaho;
“People can expect to see cans of Boise Brewing Beer on the shelves throughout the Treasure Valley by the end of January. If all goes according to plan we should ramp up production by spring and see a larger distribution footprint.”
The first round of cans will be available in tasting room (located at 521 W. Broad Street) starting Friday, January 20th. We will be holding a can release party that night starting at 5pm to celebrate the release with our best fans, YOU!
