Boise is so blessed to have a bunch of talented, local artists and a community that is supportive of their artistic endeavors. The artistic community in Boise is so vast and talented that often finding places to showcase works and get art in front of the right eyes becomes difficult for brand new artists. That’s where we come in…
Boise Brewing makes a unique beer for its members a4nd owners every couple months, called a Community Supported Beer. Every time we brew up one of these one-off brews, we work with a new, local artist to create a tap handle label for that beer. We give the artists the name of the beer and just a few formatting guidelines… the rest is totally up to their interpretation. Once we release the new “CSB” Beer, those labels are distributed to over 150 tap handles around Idaho as well as reprinted on posters sold here in the tasting room. Along with getting their art out in front of thousands of eyes around Boise and beyond; we also let our artists display their original work and other works for sale in our upstairs mezzanine. The artists get to use the space for free and keep 100% of the sales from their work.
This program is our way of supporting Boise’s vibrant and growing art community. The program is designed for new and upcoming artists looking to break into the market but more established artists are still more than welcome to apply.
