SEASONAL Releases
BIKE ROUTE
OATMEAL STOUT
7.5% ABV | 60 IBU
Bikes and Boise go hand-in-hand. From the elevated bike lanes crisscrossing downtown, to the Boise River Greenbelt, to the hundreds of miles of foothills trails for mountain biking, Boise is truly a destination for all things bikes.
We brewed Bike Route to celebrate the bikeability of our city. With a rich body, roasty nose, and chocolatey taste, this oatmeal stout drinks sweet and smooth, just like a spring cruiser bike ride on the Greenbelt.
Named after a popular rock climbing area just outside of Boise, this multi-award-winning stout is a roasty, hoppy treat. It boasts a well-balanced flavor between the chocolate and coffee tones and plentiful Northwest hops character, including pine and citrus aromas. Dark malt aromas, chocolate backbone, and a hoppy finish.
Black Cliffs is consistently rated on BeerAdvocate as one of the top 100 American Stouts in the world! Check out the current rankings.
Black Cliffs
AMERICAN STOUT
7.0% ABV | 65 IBU
Cafe Mule
Coffee STOUT
7.0% ABV | 50 IBU
Great coffee stouts are only as good as the coffee that’s in them. Enter locally owned Iron Mule Cold Brew. Iron Mule combines community, passion, flavor, and quality to bring the best coffee to Boise. And if you’re local to Boise, you may have seen their mascot - Richard the Mule - roaming the foothills.
Black Combine such a quality coffee with our commitment to world-class craft beer and you have yourself one hell of a coffee stout: roasty, dark, and rich with a smooth, chocolate-roast aroma. You bet your ass you’ll want more than one!
Fair Dig
Irish Red Ale
5.5% ABV | 24 IBU
“Fair dig” is Irish slang for “fair fight” or “to be straight with” someone. With that in mind, we offer this smooth, malt-forward Irish Red Ale brewed with Noble hops and Irish ale yeast. It drinks smooth with a caramel malt sweetness that’s balanced by the dry quality of roasted barley.
A proper pub-style! ale made for good conversation and even better company.
Jagged Shard
Imperial Red Ale
8.4% ABV | 80 IBU
For a time, this beer didn’t have a name. Then, while bottling it one day, one of our brewers dropped and shattered a full bottle. Shards of broken glass littered the brew floor, soaked in the dark, red-copper ale it had contained. And thus, the name was born: Jagged Shard!
Since then, Jagged Shard has gone on to win multiple awards. It pours a dark red-copper and offers a pleasant citrus fruit aroma. A strong malt backdone is balanced with a complementary but assertive hop character.
Jolene
Cherry Blonde Ale
6.0% ABV | 15 IBU
As the Dolly Parton song goes, “Your beauty is beyond compare / With flaming locks of auburn hair / And I cannot compete with you, Jolene.” And it’s hard to compete with this beer. Fermented with 420 pounds of sweet cherries, she’s simultaneously sweet and tart with subtle cherry notes.
Crisp and highly drinkable, she could entice any beer lover she wanted.
Mr. Freshy’s
Fesh Hop Ale
5.0% ABV | 50 IBU
Brewed specifically for fresh hop season each fall, Mr. Freshy’s Fresh Hop Ale is the official beer of our yearly Hoptober celebration. Fresh hopped with a variety of hops (in 2025 it was Amarillo hops) Mr. Freshy’s is a crisp, hoppy treat.
Try some for yourself when it releases next September.
Oktoberfest
Marzen Lager
6.3% ABV | 25 IBU
September means Oktoberfest! It’s the time of the year we release our ever-popular traditional Marzen Lager. In fact, in the short time it’s on tap each fall, volume-wise it’s our best-selling beer! Rich malt, caramel flavor, and traditional hops balanced with a slight bitterness and flavors of fresh-baked bread.
Try some for yourself when it releases next September. PROST!
‘ONO
Pineapple Wheat
4.6% ABV | 10 IBU
Ono is a Hawaiian word for “delicious.” And this American Wheat beer certainly lives up to its name. Fermented with 420 pounds of fresh pineapple and sitting at just 4.6% ABV, it’s highly drinkable. It boasts a strong pineapple nose but avoids any overwhelming sweetness in taste.
Red Velvet
Cream Ale
5.7% ABV | 22 IBU
A dessert beer that isn’t overbearing in its sweetness or decadence, this copper-colored cream ale is brewed with lactose and chocolate extract. This gives it a nice chocolatey nose, a creamy mouthfeel, and notes of vanilla.
But if you want decadence, here’s a hint: We sometimes we put this baby on nitro. Whoa. That’s all I’m gonna say.
Resting Beach Face
Mexican Lager
5.0% ABV | 20 IBU
The beer with the funny name. A light, clean, crisp lager. Pale in color with a light breadiness, balanced sweetness, and a hint of corn. And at just 5.0% and 20 IBUs, it’s perfect for floating the river, hanging out at a backyard BBQ, or a day at the beach.
It’s one of our best summer sellers for a reason.
She’ll Be Right
New Zealand Pale
5.5% ABV | 35 IBU
“She’ll be right” is a New Zealand saying that means “everything is going to be okay.” We used all New Zealand grown hops and the result is a tropical, well-hopped ale that’s highly drinkable. At 5.5% and 35 IBUs, it’s light enough to have more than one abd dank enough to satisfy the hopheads.
She’ll be right, and you’ll be alright having more than one.
Stand Up Pale
Juicy Pale ale
5.5% ABV | 45 IBU
Nicknamed ‘Sup by the brew team, this medium-bodied juicy pale ale has a dank aroma and vibrant hop flavor that’s balanced by sweet malt. The notes of melon, stone fruit, and pink grapefruit lead to a clean, fruit-forward finish.
This juicy pale stands up for quality, flavor, …and justice for all.
Syringa
Pale ale
5.5% ABV | 40 IBU
We named this beer after the state flower of Idaho. With a light caramel-malt body, mid-range bitterness, and balanced pine/citrus aromas, this pale ale is ready for any occasion. Not sure what to take camping? Syringa. Too many choices at the grocery store? Syringa. Need a quick answer in a crowded bar? Syringa.
No matter the occasion, Syringa is the right answer.
Witch’s Tit
Winter Ale
9.7% ABV | 65 IBU
A taproom staple during the cold months, Witch’s Tit pours a nice ruby brown and provides a deep, rich mouthfeel with hints of raisins, cocoa, and biscuit malt. And when Costco refused to carry it unless we changed the name (how about a sense of humor?) we knew we had a hit.
Take a couple sips on a cold winter night, rosy up those cheeks, and perk up your spirits.
