Big Taste. Small Brew.
Boise Brewing may not be the largest brewery in town, but that means a little more love goes into each batch. And brewing smaller will give us the flexibility to make sure there’s something different on draught every time you come down to the tap room. We also want to support local farms and businesses. From using local ingredients like honey and fruit, to donating our spent grains to area farmers, we want to be an important part of the community. To top it off, all our beers are vegetarian-friendly and crafted with free-range grains!
Hip Check IPA
This dry hopped American IPA is a celebration of Northwest brewing tradition. Big, bold hop character resonates throughout this beer from the aroma to the finish. Around 35% of the entire world’s hop supply comes from the Pacific Northwest so we are proud to produce a beer that celebrates our region. High alpha hops intermingle with traditional varieties to produce a unique but recognizable hop character that is undeniable to the palate. Bold, yet balanced this brew will appease your inner hop hound. Too many Hip Checks and you’ll have runs in your fishnets, too.
Down-Down Extra Pale Ale
An Extra Pale Ale designed for hanging with friends in mind. Down-Down EXP is an easy drinking ale with enough character to be the life of the party. This brew is perfectly balanced with enough hop character to let you know it’s a craft brew but light enough that anyone can enjoy it. Smooth, crisp and refreshing, this is a brew that can be enjoyed no matter what the season. Pairs well with running. And also with not running.
Broad Street Blonde
The blonde is the only one of our flagship beers that we filter, which makes it light, crisp, and super delicious. The perfect beer for relaxing on the patio in the sunshine; this sweet, fresh ale is a great “gateway beer” to the wonderful world of craft beer. Might be most approachable blonde you will ever meet.
This chocolate style porter is just the thing to warm you up after a cold day on the slopes. With hints of coffee and sweet caramel, this dark, delicious, sweet treat is a malty celebration of the classic porter style. Light enough to enjoy a few, but still dark enough to appeal to those dark beer fans we all know and love. Finally, a snowboarder that everyone can appreciate… whether we have snow on the mountains or not!
Dark Daisy Chocolate Milk Stout
This 6% Stout is brewed with 50 pounds of lactose which imparts a creamy, sweet character to this overall roasty and dark chocolaty brew. The lactose is also the reason it is deemed a “milk” stout. We used two different types of chocolate malt plus a touch or roast to get the dark chocolate character.
CSB “Community Supported Beer”:
We’ll be the first to say it… Ambers are boring. If beer was a middle school, ambers would be western civilization class.
However, after multiple requests; Our head brewer, Lance, reluctantly took on the challenge of making an amber we could all be excited about. The result is a surprisingly thrilling, toasty – caramel treat. Modestly hopped with el dorado, Chinook, and cascade hops straight from Idaho farms, this beer still has enough hop kick to keep it interesting. Toasty on the nose with a honey-nut accented flavor, this well balanced amber fits the style without leaving you drooling on your trapper keeper.
